Otherwise any Troll or idiot driver can just appeal a ban and say that it was a total accident and that this lag and that happened, but theres no way to prove it. Ive played MP since a few months after its release, ive spoke to the admins, ive been on both side of the line once or twice, so i know a thing or 2 about what goes on.īan Appeals are SUPPOSED to be used to provide contradictory evidence that proves your innocence to the incident at hand, if you have no evidence, well the admins can only take what is presented to them, they can not just take your word for it that what you say, actually happened. The thing is, admins can only go by what they see or the EVIDENCE that is provided to them, if you are seen blocking traffic or causing problems, then you will get banned, the best course of action is to record the incidents and move on. The cold reality is that they are no different to the childish players who charge in to situations without a second thought.

My ban was not only subsequently declined (like every other ban appeal ever) but I also found it to have been extended to a month without notice - something he failed to elaborate on when I asked about. Then he concluded "argue all u want, blablabla, while im arguing with u others are appealing and not getting their answers" & "why bother playing ETS2MP if u have lag". It is not unfathomable that I should start to lag when there are real-time objects updating constantly (such as players) all around me. I dont need my education in the IT industry to be able to tell you that lag is a form of performance issues and performance issues are largely, unpredictable, wavering and impossible to second guess. Despite being clear, constructive and completely honest, the admin replied in the usual dismissive way admins do - with short, sarcastic little one-liners like "go read the rules then come back and tell me how bans are issued". I was immediately issued with the ban.Īll I did was question why in an appeal (because its the only way u can contact them, as far as I'm concerned its only a few days, hardly worth the appeal) just for the admin to elaborate. I was recently banned for 4 days initially for apparently ramming/blocking because a car got in my way and I lagged and when it refreshed I had crashed into it unintentionally. And just like that, with the type of a command, you are banned, and the admin carries on carelessly with his day.Īs for the ban appeals, they're absolutely useless. The possibility of you being totalled as a result from an earlier incident doesn't enter their heads. If you see a truck sprawled out across the motorway, then you MUST be the suspect who is blocking the others. I know this was 11 months ago but I too have experienced the atrocities of the admins.
